Halloween Chic

Repurpose this vintage fly-fishing basket as a trick-or-treat basket - there's even a belt and cut-out, perfect for a candy drop. Image: One Kings Lane.

Before having children, Halloween wasn't my jam. Dressing up always felt ridiculous, haunted houses left me jumpy for days, and roaming cold, dark streets asking for candy never seemed worth it.

But having children changed that. I love watching their faces light up, when I "install" giant spiders on our home. I enjoy brainstorming about the perfect costumes and plotting our trick-or-treating route. And I especially love our annual tradition of trick-or-treating for UNICEF.

Here are some spooky chic Halloween ideas to get you in the spirit in style!
