I believe in beauty. I believe it is everywhere. I believe it is powerful, healing and available to us at any moment, if we pause to discover it or create it.

Since my son went blind, I realized beauty isn’t just pretty. He experiences beauty constantly, and he helped me realize that beauty exists in dimensions far beyond vision. There is an immersive, experiential quality of beauty that I hope to capture here.

May you discover some beautiful inspiration (and a smile)! XO, L

Taking Time

Taking Time

My mantra heading into 2021 is “take time”. It’s easy to convince myself there’s never enough time. So a few months ago, I starting planning (in my calendar!) a few minutes every day for myself. Sometimes, I enjoy a tennis clinic or a long hike, but more often I decide to simply write a letter, flip through a favorite coffee table book, set the table (a punishment for my children but a luxury for me), take a bubble bath, listen to a new album while cooking dinner, arrange some greenery from our garden, journal, or some other tiny source of joy and restoration. The consistent element is that I plan it ahead of time and document it later. While I haven’t created more time, I certainly enjoy my time more. XO, L
