I believe in beauty. I believe it is everywhere. I believe it is powerful, healing and available to us at any moment, if we pause to discover it or create it.

Since my son went blind, I realized beauty isn’t just pretty. He experiences beauty constantly, and he helped me realize that beauty exists in dimensions far beyond vision. There is an immersive, experiential quality of beauty that I hope to capture here.

May you discover some beautiful inspiration (and a smile)! XO, L

My Favorite Winter Shop

My Favorite Winter Shop

As a new New Englander, I’m embracing the idea that ski jackets and winter gear aren’t just for ski trips… in fact, they are for most days between December and March (ok, May). Today, we’re snowed in. The children are all home from school (and eager to build snowmen), and I’m realizing it’s time to winterize both our wardrobes and our home, a convenient excuse to peruse my favorite shop for cold weather essentials, Gorsuch. I grew up visiting their Vail outpost with my mom, and today I’m carrying on the tradition with my daughter, albeit by logging on virtually. Gorsuch is a magical, luxurious, family-owned boutique with an alpine European flair, heirloom quality and a love of Bernese mountain dogs that rivals my own. I’m excited to share a few of my favorite winter finds (and great last minute gift ideas) from my favorite for all things cozy…
